Hey everyone! Today’s the day to be a tree hugger if youre not one already! Be good to the enviroment, and dont litter! And I have a plan…. If everyone that reads this blog turns off the power for five minutes, we will save… Enough energy for a tv to be powered for a week! Thats a lot! So at 8:00 turn off ONE light, (two if youre really into turning switches) and at 8:05 you can turn it back on! Check out the new party decorations on cazmo!

How many of you know laika the dog? Laika, a mutt off the street, was captured, and trained, for the hardest mission any dog had ever been trained to do. Go into Space. Laika was the first animal in space. Laika was sent up by the Soviet Union, now known as Russia. Laika was trained to hit certain buttons, and also, since the US and Soviet Union were in a cold war, laika was trained to bark at the sight of the US. Although Laika died, almost 5 to 7 hours after launch, she is still considered the first animal in space. She was poisoned by the Soviet Union so she didnt have to suffer during reentry. Laika became the first animal to die in space also.  The Soviet Union then found a dog that looked like laika, and kept it a secret that she died. Laika is shown in the picture below:

Laika is a true hero.
